Investment Management Client
Office Status: Hybrid
Under the supervision of the Assistant Controller, the Analyst will play an important role in the finance team of Capital’s USA division. The Analyst will be a key player for all the statutory accounting activities of the Canadian entities of the firm. You will have an active role in the month-end processes and will assist the Accounting, Manager in the implementation of several new processes.
Your responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the preparation of the monthly financial statements of Capital’s USA division
- Take an active role in the month-end closing processes, accruals calculations and accounts analysis
- Prepare various provisions and key analysis in relation with the revenues and expenses of the division
- Prepare various accounting analysis
- Prepare year-end records for auditors
- Assist the Assistant Controller in various special projects
- Complete surveys and requests for information from government agencies
- Ensure compliance with internal controls for your responsibilities
- Participate to the improvement of processes in a changing environment.
Position Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CPA, ACCA)
- 3+ years’ relevant experience
- Working Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards
- Strong Microsoft Excel (basic macros, v-lookup, etc.)
- Knowledge of the accounting software SAP an asset
- Proven ability to work as part of a team, strong collaborator
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Good organizational skills and autonomous.
