Seize an outstanding opportunity to join our dynamic Risk Surveillance team as the Americas Head of Risk Surveillance, based in New York. In this transformative role, you will also be responsible for the development and evolution of global asset management, credit markets and investment banking surveillance programs.

Job Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the strategic development of surveillance scenarios that are tailored to identify potential improper behavior or activities counter to our obligations as a market participant, including market manipulation, market misconduct, and insider trading as they may materialize within the electronic communications or trading activities of our asset management, credit markets and investment banking businesses.

You will be a point of escalation and decision for alerts assessed by our surveillance analysts as unusual and requiring further review across all businesses within the region. You will work closely with Business Compliance, Business Operational Risk, and Financial Crime Risk regarding specific alerts to ensure they are addressed according to regulatory expectations. You will liaise with Risk Surveillance and Compliance subject matter experts, Technology, Traders and Portfolio Managers to ensure our surveillance is appropriate for electronic communication and trading activities and in-line with regional and global regulatory requirements.

This role will offer the opportunity to support the development and enhancement of the frameworks and processes necessary for the effective operation of the Risk Surveillance function and to provide input to an ongoing program of work to enhance surveillance models and technology.

Job Requirements:

With demonstrated experience in a similar role, you will have a deep understanding of trading and surveillance within the asset management, credit markets and investment banking businesses. You should be able to comfortably describe our holistic surveillance program to regulators and others. Knowledge and experience in equities, derivatives and fixed income trading will be beneficial. You should also be familiar with market leading e-communications and trade surveillance applications.
