SUMMARY:

Participates in multiple AML/Sanctions compliance testing reviews for Americas Region, which includes New York, Sao Paulo and Mexico City branches/subsidiaries. Detects, reports and follows up on regulatory issues that arise.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides assurance and challenge of the effectiveness of the control activities conducted by the first line of the defense, and determines residual risk of identified coverage gaps. Assists Business and Compliance Management in determining the effectiveness of their compliance control environment and provides line of sight for Compliance Management into regulatory issues. Responsible for all steps of the review, to include planning, testing and reporting. Establishes testing objectives and scope of work. Discuss preliminary findings/issues with internal stakeholders and participate in active correspondence with key individuals to identify an appropriate action plan. Track and validate corrective action within internal tracking systems. Compile and maintain adequate supporting work papers. Assist in the annual bank-wide BSA/AML and OFAC risk assessment processes. Maintains current knowledge of industry compliance initiatives pertaining to area of coverage.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS OR EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field or equivalent experience

Prior AML/OFAC or Financial Crime Compliance Testing experience.

Understanding of major regulatory compliance requirements applicable to commercial banking.

CAMS certificate is favorable.

Knowledge of compliance automated systems.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong analytical, presentation, and organizational skills.

International travel required in relation to individual assigned reviews.
