Job Description:

  • Supports various AML processes, including global sanctions screening, enhanced due diligence (EDD) etc.
  • Work closely with team lead to perform other critical functions, including but not limited to project management and quality assurance, maintain project status reports, respond and fulfill regulatory request (e.g., OCC, OFAC)
  • Maintain policies and procedure, internal correspondence
  • Perform transactional data analytics, conduct look-back reviews, perform preliminary investigations, liaise with other internal departments
  • Proactive research of AML typology cases, research and analyze data related to law enforcement actions, sanctions designations, terrorist financing, and fraud
  • Respond to regulatory requests, perform case investigation and reporting, conduct EDD, OCC/OFAC information request correspondence
  • Build and maintain awareness of the broader context and implications of the various types of risks affecting the Bank (e.g., financial, legal, reputational, etc.)
  • Provide investigation intelligence support by conducting trend analysis, statistical review for general and special projects involving data from a variety of sources
  • Understand and adhere to both the letter and the spirit of laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance that apply to the role

Job Requirement:

  • B.S degree is required; advanced degree is preferred
  • 3-10 years’ related experience is required
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills (sound judgment) with a high attention to detail
  • Knowledge of transaction monitoring and SAR filing policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of due diligence, risk identification and mitigation
  • Excellent written and oral skills, including presentations to audiences ranging from senior management, regulators and auditors to analysts with the ability to concisely and meaningfully explain and support research conclusions both in written and verbal formats
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically in Excel
