The overall Branch operational risk management governance is complemented by the
management structure and roles and responsibility across the Management Committees,
Branch Management, and the Three Lines of Defense model. The main roles and
responsibilities for the Associate – Operational Risk Management are included below:

  • Working with the BRIC team in identifying potential material and emerging risks that might be applicable to the covered BU’s;
  • Assisting in ORM-related tasks required by the Branch such as Risk and Control Self-Assessment, Control Testing and Business Impact Analysis;
  • Tracking the implementation of action plans;
  • Keeping record of the Mandatory and Non-Mandatory Business Level KRIs;
  • Assist in maintaining and performing control testing as per agreed plan;
  • Assist in BCP testing and reporting for covered business units;
  • Perform system input for BRIC team risk requirements as needed;
  • Perform ad-hoc work as required by BRIC team management.
