Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and support the IPB business on clients, products, and transactions with potential financial crime risks; apply practical standards of the AFC compliance program and respond on dispensations request
  • Advise the IPB business on reputational risk and other advisory cases with potential financial crime risks; from time-to-time act as a delegate to regional head and attend related committees
  • Provide guidance on AML/Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issues and trends to business partners
  • Provide guidance and respond to queries from various internal groups (including the front office, legal, advisory compliance, etc.) relating to complex AFC issues
  • Support regional remediation initiatives for IPB business; facilitating the review of the overall AFC program including risk analysis, periodic high risk account reviews, event driven review (EDR), quality controls reviews, and ensuring a consistent enhanced due diligence (EDD) review and approval is applied
  • Support regional head in management of fixed income & currencies (FIC) and capital risk unit (CRU) internal audit and external audit points to successful completion; provide support in coordinating/responding for requests for information for internal audit, regulators, and law enforcement as part of audits, examinations, and investigations

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Moderate working experience in the financial industry within AML compliance, legal or regulatory change functions; superior knowledge of relevant AML laws/regulatory requirements, particularly with respect to wealth management clients and products
  • AML compliance, legal or audit experience, particularly in connection with, KYC and the regular review in advisory capacity
  • Knowledge of wealth management products and institutional broker-dealer; knowledge of financial markets, products, and processes
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
