
Multinational Investment Banking Client
Office Status: Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Analyze loan transactions, provide credit recommendations, and present proposals to senior management and/or underwriters
- Assess the credit and financial strength of the Firm’s corporate borrowers and counterparts by performing fundamental credit analysis of counterparties using both quantitative and qualitative factors
- Review loan transactions, determine appetite and regulatory ratings, monitor credit trends, perform distressed analysis, and estimate potential impairments
- Build relationships with front office colleagues articulating credit views and structuring solutions
- Assist in reporting requirements for internal/external auditors and regulatory authorities
- Portfolio: responsible for ongoing portfolio monitoring for assigned counterparties as well as limit reviews including oversight of data integrity in credit systems
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working in a credit risk role at the senior associate or assistant vice president level
- Strong credit background in corporate analysis to evaluate credit quality of investment grade borrowers
- Demonstrated ability to make and defend credit decisions under scrutiny from senior risk management and external regulators
- Solid understanding of loan and Investment Grade markets as well as related structures, documentation terms, and related regulatory standards
- Must be able to work under time pressure, independently drive the underwriting process, and develop transaction approval recommendations
