Job Description: This incumbent will be responsible for conducting credit risk evaluation to ensure that all credit recommendations conform to the Bank’s policy; implementing credit process controls to monitor and maintain asset quality of the US branches’ loan portfolio; updating the credit risk policy to reflect changes in lending and regulatory guidelines; conducting research on new credit products and related industry research for presentation to management; and preparing portfolio reports and other related reports.

Job Duties:

Credit Risk Review

  • Evaluate and analyze borrower’s creditworthiness on assigned proposals and prepare/present in depth analysis with minimum supervision
  • Provide challenges and analyze all aspects related to credit recommendations submitted by business units, including but not limited to loan and business structure, historical projected financial performance, management, industry, market condition, and third party reports in timely fashion
  • Assist new transactions proposed by business units and articulate the credit risk view with respect to its creditworthiness and conformity to Bank policies and procedures

Portfolio Management

  • Conduct annual and/or quarterly review of existing credits as required by Bank policy
  • Monitor industry trends and assess any impact of any client-specific negative news on credit portfolio perspective
  • Conduct exception and pipeline management

Knowledge and Learning

  • Demonstrate initiative to acquire necessary knowledge (industry, products, market conditions, policies and procedures) to perform job function
  • Demonstrate progression in learning and application of concepts learned
