JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for timely confirmation and settlement of the New York and branches FX & Money Market trades dealt, Securities Investment and Management, CD Issuing with Bank’s client and external counterparties. Ensure all transactions are accurately posted into systems. Ensure the daily operation adheres to a safe and sound practice. Liaise with counterparties, front offices, auditors and following detailed procedures. Perform the office work that directly related to the general business operations of the Bank or the customers, and includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. The office works with volumes of trades which are high value and settlement is subject to market deadlines and regulations using a variety of systems. Team members need to be able to work under pressure with a high level of attention to details.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • 35% Conduct all processing and settlement activities related to Money Market Placement, Securities settlement, CD Issuing, and Foreign Exchange transactions (if any)
  • 10% Conduct all processing and settlement activities related to GUIP (General User Interface Portal) fund transfer for Head Office
  • 10% Review and reconcile DDA, and any other Due-From-Account for Treasury-related transactions
  • 10% Perform security management, including monitor and update security market value and security rating; reconcile security coupon interest payment, principal repayment and custody fee payment
  • 10% Conduct Back Office IBS operation, including regular operation, system maintenance, modification and testing
  • 10% Prepare daily/monthly/quarterly reports to be prepared for Internal use, Auditor, Head Office and Regulators
  • 5% Conduct KYC, AML and any other required Compliance processing and record keeping
  • 5% Prepare and reconcile the Broker / Dealer / Service Agent fee settlement
  • 5% Complete other tasks assigned by the Section Head

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • College degree or equivalent experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in related financial field, Accounting or Banking field.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese
  • Good Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to review and document accurate control focused processes and procedures and business requirement documents
  • Proactive support of development relative to core business along with being reactive to Front Office initiatives and Customer requirements, in order that business is handled in a controlled and timely manner to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Ability to comply with all the related rules and regulations
