Office Status: Remote
Salary: $350,000 to $425,000

Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership strategy and direction, mentoring and coaching to the Compliance and Legal teams and related supporting activities. Design and ensure organizational structure and partnership to support matters across the company.
  • Assures that risk areas adequately identify, measure, control, and monitor credit, market, liquidity, operational, legal, compliance, strategic and reputation risks relative to the products, services and activities for which they are responsible.
  • Promotes a culture of transparency and constructive communication with examiners and other regulatory personnel; ensures that responses to regulatory requests and reporting directives are verifiably factual and fully responsive.
  • Assures effective Risk Management tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks, and to manage risks according to an enterprise risk management framework.
  • Monitors Legal and Risk management processes and procedures throughout the organization.
  • Advises executive and senior management and the Board on various matters to ensure the company is fulfilling its legal obligations.
  • Ensures the Bank operates within legal and regulatory requirements, and as a public company related to accountability, transparency, fairness, responsibility, and risk management.
  • Sets standards and best practices regarding risk policies, guidelines, procedures, and systems to ensure risk requirements are applied and adhered to at all levels.
  • Conducts risk assurance and due diligence on behalf of the organization in events of mergers, acquisitions, and business deals.
  • Ensures ongoing monitoring of the risk-taking activities and exposures to ensure they are in line with the board-approved risk profile and appetite.
