Overview:

The Compliance Analytics Director will add Subject Matter Expertise in Capital Markets, Retail Banking and Corporate Banking Compliance to the Analytics team. This role will lead development of Risk Metrics, testing and validation of models and data-driven controls, and focused analytic projects in areas such as Fraud or Consumer Lending.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test and tune Metrics, Key Risk Indicators, Key Performance Indicators and Risk Models across all areas of Compliance
  • Support Compliance Monitoring and Testing in validation of data-driven controls and risk models
  • Execute analytic projects to support other areas of Compliance such as Fraud, Consumer Lending, or Conduct Risk
  • Mentor and develop junior team members and contractors, and supervise their work
  • Act as the Compliance interface to Model Risk Management, and manage Models across all areas of Compliance  
  • Stay current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies in machine learning, statistical modelling & analytics
  • Promote knowledge sharing and promulgation of best practices across Compliance

Qualifications:

  • Experience developing Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators and tuning thresholds
  • Experience developing, testing and tuning risk models
  • Solid understanding of various Machine Learning algorithms, model selection criteria and Supervised/ Unsupervised learning techniques
  • Expertise in Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets and experience with Trade Surveillance and Electronic Communications Surveillance
  • Meticulous attention to detail and demonstrated ability to produce high quality, accurate work consistently
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with stakeholders and engaging teams
  • Excellent oral communication and writing skills in interacting with non-executives and executive management and across business lines and control functions
