Overview:

  • The Executive Director–Group Head’s main responsibility entails supervision and management of the Subscription Finance coverage team at the Credit Department Americas Division (CDAD), which consists of credit officers covering the Subscription Secured Finance Department (SSFD)
  • Responsibilities include review and approval of credit applications submitted by the front office and summarized by the credit officer with his/her recommendation
  • Coverage includes fund finance transactions (mainly Subscription finance, also include NAV finance and Hybrid finance) and related financial products (derivative hedging, etc.) with private equity funds
  • Scope of analysis and review includes, but not limited to, fund investor credit risk, deal structure, facility terms and conditions, transaction background, profitability, and relationship strategy

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze various elements of credit risk primarily in fund finance transactions with private equity funds
  • Lead credit decisions with a certain approval authority, with a team of credit analysts who interact with Front Office
  • Maintain communication with senior managers in Front Office to ensure credit standards/policies are fully understood
  • Conduct and supervise the monitoring of credit quality of the counterparties and transaction portfolio
  • Ensure US Regulatory requirements are met in each credit application
  • Provide feedback and guidance to the CDAD credit officers to ensure consistent and complete credit applications and compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Evaluate the performance of each credit officer in the team and formally provide feedback based on the evaluation
  • Other credit related works/projects as necessary
