Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Compliance Officer (CO), Legal and all lines of business and levels of management to incorporate FARB culture, principles and regulatory expectations into roles and responsibilities and related business processes.
  • Serve as FARB subject matter expert for communicating regulatory changes, and coordinating risk assessments and reviews. Work with lines of business to evaluate proposed business changes for new or modified products/services, new or modified policies, procedures, processes, or systems as applicable to FARB.
  • Develop and oversee FARB program and related policies, and facilitate creation of adequate procedures, training and controls by business areas.
  • Develop, communicate and implement an annual fair lending risk assessment that uses both quantitative and qualitative factors to determine residual risk.
  • Collaborate with business units to facilitate analysis of lending patterns, community outreach programs, peer performance, assessment area demographics and complaints.
  • Identify process breakdowns and work with business owners to determine root cause, trends, member impact, and planned remediation activities related to FARB.
  • Identify and analyze potential risks from all available sources including data analytic results from: regression analysis, statistical correlation, peer benchmarking. demographic and geographic analysis complaints, vendor issues, system weakness, testing audit/exam results to obtain a holistic view of FARB risks.
  • Interpret and present results and action plans to multiple levels of management.
  • Advise and oversee business area remediation related to FL, HMDA and UDAAP audits and regulatory examinations, including advance preparation and follow up on findings and development of written responses.
