Microsoft Office 365 Unified Collaboration Engineer

Our  Unified Communications and Collaboration professionals are tasked with both operational and design engineering responsibilities in a Microsoft windows and cloud hosted Infrastructure environment. You will work closely with both IT and business partners to design and implement solutions supporting business needs, with emphasis on Microsoft Office 365 Services such as Skype/Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online with integration of Enterprise Voice integration (Oracle/Acme Packet) SBC/ECB, and regulatory recording solutions (Verba, NICE NTR, Global Relay). You will also maintain a focus on automation and DevOps within the Unified Communications / Collaboration Perimeter

Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Within the constructs of the team, design and implement critical business systems solutions aligned with corporate strategic direction
  • Management of operational and project related tasks/responsibilities
  • Explanation and justification of design decisions to IT peers, and articulation of advantages/risks of alternative solutions
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex Skype/Teams, Enterprise voice, and Unified Communication and Collaboration issues
  • Root cause analysis, incident management, communication with internal clients / business partners / Service team members, when applicable
  • Ensures all production changes are made in accordance with production lifecycle methodology and risk/change management guidelines
  • Provide technical mentoring to other team members
  • Contributions within architecture reviews/strategic development activities
  • Participation in after-hours/weekend work in rotation with all members of the team  

Technical Skills Required:       

  • Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint Online, Azure), Lync/Skype, Scripting, Active Directory, Skype Enterprise Voice (Oracle/Acme Packet SBC), Archiving Services
  • Architecture/design and implementation experience with knowledge of Microsoft and Cloud based technologies (Lync/Skype/Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Active Directory/Azure, DNS), scripting (PowerShell, Python, automation), and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies related to Enterprise Voice, Archiving, and External Federation Services
  • Experience with Cloud based collaboration tools used in the enterprise ecosystem (Teams, Zoom, BlueJeans, ON24)
  • Exposure to other infrastructure areas including: Active Directory, VMware, NAS Storage, Backup & Recovery, SQL Server, Cloud Services, etc.
  • Troubleshooting experience with TCP/IP, DNS and some level of experience with network infrastructure/topology

Technical Skills Desired:

  • Trading Telephony technologies
  • Specific familiarity with Oracle/Acme Packet SBC or comparable products
  • Knowledge of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and/or Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP)
  • Involvement with Archiving solutions: Global Relay, NICE NTR, Verba
  • Forwarding thinking of implementing Ethical Wall and Machine Learning capabilities within the collaboration ecosystem
  • ITIL experience is preferred

Experience Needed:

  • Minimum of six years of experience within Unified Communications and associated technologies

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science/Engineering or the equivalent experience
  • Certification in MS technologies and/or IT Project Management, a plus

Languages: (Other than English)

  • Fluency in French, a plus
