Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Program Director to contribute to the scoping and planning of assigned work streams; develop detailed workstream plans, roadmaps and approach to drive program implementation, and validate with Initiative Lead
  • Responsible for implementing agreed execution plans and timely delivery of target business outcomes; ensure that all milestones are met, and traction is achieved in resolving outstanding gaps; escalate key issues and risks in collaboration with program management team
  • Lead workstreams that require technology enhancements by coordinating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) across various stakeholders, and liaising with technology teams and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Ensure due diligence activities are completed and support third party vendor contract negotiation for assigned workstreams
  • Provide input for periodic executive level reporting (such as program steering committee meeting) on project status; integrate business content into program reporting and provide effective challenge as needed to ensure all reports reflect actual program status including critical issues and risks
  • Provide business input to other parallel program streams (for example, target operating model design) to ensure alignment
  • Provide required support to the program management team in executing their mandate
  • Work closely with the various business leads, subject matter experts and other project stakeholders to ensure expectations are met

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a large financial services (FS) institution, management consulting firm, or at a regulator 
  • Post-secondary graduate of Business, Law, Engineering, or related program 
  • Knowledge and/or experience in running compliance programs in the Conflict Management space preferably in Personal Conflicts (for example, Personal Trading, Outside Business Activities, Gifts & Entertainment, Licensing & Registrations, Political Contributions) 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of personnel. 
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and quality. 
  • Able to think strategically and conceptualize and operationalize effective and innovative solutions to meet business requirements 
  • Able to lead and execute workstream plans  
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Must be an innovative, results-oriented and highly motivated individual 
  • Advanced computer software proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other software applications, such as Visio and Adobe Acrobat Pro, used in performance of job duties
