Global investment bank with a high performing US capital markets business is building out a brand new finance function at the firm. This is a newly formed team that has a hands on/start up feel to it and full be responsible for regulatory reporting analysis and project management for various business transactions. Because this is a new and small team there is a fast track for a promotion to VP and as an Associate, you’ll be responsible for interacting with and building relationships with various senior stakeholders throughout the firm. They pay very well.
- The associate is responsible for conducting quality assurance testing activities around regulatory reports; ensure that the reports are prepared in accordance with regulatory reporting instructions, meet industry’s best practices, as well as communicating/monitoring issues and enhancement opportunities to senior management.
- Supports management with the regulatory exams as well as interim status updates with senior management.
- This position requires experience in regulatory reporting, as well as experience in audit/review, project management.
- Drive the risk assessment process, conduct effective test in US regulatory report production (e.g. Y9-C, Y15, FFIEC 002, FFIEC 009/019)
- Ensure timely delivery of high quality, value added testing reports
- Monitor, escalate, and report issues to management or other relevant stakeholders on a periodic basis; monitor the remediation of issues to ensure they are resolved satisfactorily and on a timely basis
Qualifications
- Previously regulatory reporting experience is not required
- 3-6 years of experience from a national/big 4 CPA firm with financial services clients
- CPA is a plus
