*Job is located in Westport, CT. Successful candidate expected to be in office at least 1-2 days per week*
Overview
- Prioritize multiple opportunities and take a central role in the underwriting deal process, flagging issues to appropriate deal team and risk team members as needed
- Assist in the development of recommendations during the active U/W process
Job Responsibilities
- Engage with borrower on gathering and analyzing information on the business including strategic and financial information
- Understand and analyze historical and projected financial statements, seek out drivers of performance, including KPIs. Analyze and dissect base and downside cases.
- Engage with third party due diligence providers (including appraisers, field examiners, environmental, QoE
- Take an active role in drafting the IC memo, including developing investment thesis, risks and mitigants, collateral details, and financial statement analysis
- Compile funds flow and work with deal team to verify all parties to be paid upon closing, coordinate with the appropriate finance team members
Job Requirements
- 4-7 years of previous applicable experience
- Must have strong financial statement analysis experience (formal Credit Trained is a plus) , and must have strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills
- Bachelor’s Degree required
