Overview:

The Risk Data Analyst is responsible for leading model validation and development efforts, extracting data from organization platforms and utilizing that data to create reports for management and key stakeholders. Reports created will provide management business data for use in decision making and organizational efficiency improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

The position will be responsible for model data, validation, and compliance initiatives in coordination with bank’s model validation audit group. Aid the implementation of credit/risk related software and provide support and advice for existing Salesforce software programing initiatives. The Data Analyst will lead in ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of Salesforce and system data. This position will also facilitate and administer the design of platform reporting, analytics, and dashboards. Reports to the Chief Risk Officer.

  • Lead model validation and development efforts.
  • Aggregate and compile business data based on requests from senior leadership with a focus on risk assessment, credit quality trending, market segment opportunities and business development.
  • Serve as primary system administrator for Salesforce software by handling all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine tasks. Assist in Salesforce and associated module implementation and assist with integration with other systems.
  • Write queries or reports to provide data for various analytical projects.
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Integrate data from multiple data sources or functional areas, ensure data accuracy and integrity, and update data as needed.
  • Implement custom reporting and business intelligence tools, including CRM reporting, SQL Server reporting services and Power BI.
  • Develop and implement automated data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Filter and clean data, and review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
  • Excellent handle on technology, including proficiency of Microsoft office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint, customer relationship management software, TSQL/ Stored Procedures, and source code control.
  • Assist in the preparation of various new or on-going portfolio analysis and other credit related reports as needed

Qualifications:

  • BA / BS and/or relevant experience; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in similar role (model validation and/or development), preferably in the equipment leasing or commercial banking industry.
  • Excellent handle on technology, including proficiency of MS office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM software, TSQL/Stored procedures, and source code control.
