VP, Operational Risk (1st LOD)

Job Responsibilities:

• Risk management subject matter experience with a particular focus on operational risk management

• Assist in the project management activities for the implementation of Fraud, Change, Transaction Processing, Product & Services and Data risk management framework. Quality assurance of Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA), and Risk Governance Assessment

• Assist Business Units in the implementation of Risk Management policies and standards, and in establishing risk management procedures

• Facilitate the creation of risk management reports capturing business units’ risk exposures in Fraud, Change, Transaction Processing, Product & Services and Data

• Aggregate business units’ risk management reports including risk and controls, key risk indices for the various risks the business areas are exposed and report to senior management and committees

• Proactively make improvements in risk reporting, governance to effectively control the inherent risks of the bank’s operations, including the application of regulatory guidelines and industry best practices

• Participate in branch and group wide projects and contribute to the timely completion of the project tasks assigned

• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION LEVEL: Degree in Business Management


KNOWLEDGE IN: Operational Risk Management

• Product knowledge in fixed income and foreign exchange

• Knowledge of operational risk management methodologies, including RCSA, fraud, change, products and services, transaction processing risk management preferably with an emphasis in the banking industry

• Excellent SQL, VBA, MS Excel and MS Access skills with experience building and implementing risk management reports

• Managerial skills in managing projects, initiatives, and implementing regulatory requirements

• Detail oriented, excellent communications skills both written and verbal

• Solid collaboration skills with the ability to manage complex situations working with various stakeholders for timely resolutions

• Experience with IT, front office, middle office and/or back office activities within Banking and Capital Markets

• Personal traits: Proactive / Team player / Flexible and good communicator / Analytical, organizational and project-management skills / Ability to perform hands-on tasks / Adaptable to changes
