  • Review and approve capital requests for the extension of new/modified capital commitments (review will include an assessment of historical and projected profitability of the client, strategic relevance of the transaction, and relative value using market comparables e.g. loans, bonds, CDS)
  • Advise Deal Teams, Credit Risk Department, and Senior Management on all matters related to committed lending (capital, funding, mitigation, credit risk, etc.)
  • Assist in monitoring risks in the portfolio, highlight concerns, and make recommendations for mitigation
  • Support secondary loan market investment book activity by highlighting opportunities that meet desired criteria
  • Prepare various new or on-going portfolio analysis and other credit related reports, as needed
  • Ad hoc projects relating to such topics as risk mitigation, account review, regulatory capital and funding
  • Be able to organize thoughts, clearly articulate points, and provide summaries and explanations of transactions, verbally or in writing, to management or other internal departments
  • Have strong research and analytical skills
  • Have an ability to understand client’s strategic objectives, credit risk management framework, as well as policies & procedures
  • Be driven, self-motivated, and team oriented
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships among peer, internal partners, and decision makers
  • Anticipate and address any challenges and pro-actively provide recommendations and solutions
  • Have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner against strict deadlines
  • Work well under time pressure
