Title: Compensation Accounting Associate

Location: NY-New York-Hybrid

Salary: 120-140k + 15% bonus

A well-known, global alternative investment firm with over $350 billion in total AUM is looking for a compensation accounting associate. This team has plenty of opportunities to continue for internal growth. This financial service firm has good hours with a lot of stability. This position is responsible for administering cash and equity compensation programs and executing related accounting processes. This role will support financial reporting specific to payroll, severance, commissions, and deferred compensation plans.

Responsibilities:
-Review, analyze, and process employee offer letters and off-cycle compensation change documentation
-Record and reconcile all compensation, prepaid amortization, and payroll transactions
-Administer non-cash compensation programs including maintaining vesting schedules and generating journal entries
-Review and support sales commissions calculations and reporting
-Assist with preparation of employee total compensation statements
-Assist with compensation narrative and analysis in support of financial reporting
-Review compensation audit deliverables, draft inquiry responses, and prepare various footnotes
-Analyze system requirements and financial reporting implications for new compensation transactions
-Document firm compensation policies and procedures
-Prepare due diligence request responses
-Support Finance Compensation Team with special requests and ad-hoc projects including reports and analysis for Senior Management

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources
-Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
-Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and problem-solving skills
-Analytical reasoning skills and experience with financial analysis
