International commercial bank located in Midtown Manhattan, looking to bring on board a “Deputy Chief Compliance Officer/Head of AML Technology” to join their team. This role is in office 5 days per week.

Responsibilities:
• Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and the company’s business objectives.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the company’s compliance program, and recommend improvements as necessary.
• Oversee the development and implementation of the company’s compliance governance framework, including policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Serve as subject matter expert, provide guidance and support to the CCO and Compliance Department as a whole on technology related initiatives
• Manage and support annual model validation and system tuning projects
• Develop and implement a Data Governance program
• Support Compliance Department with internal/external audits and regulatory exams
• Conduct and manage testing of compliance-related system changes
• Identify compliance-related technology problems and recommend sensible corrections
• Design and develop policies/procedures, processes and controls, and metrics reporting.
• Special ad-hoc projects as assigned by the CCO and General Manager.
• Work closely with the business lines to identify and assess compliance risks associated with new products, services, or activities.
• Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, and escalate issues to the Chief Compliance Officer when necessary.
• Conduct periodic compliance assessments and audits to identify potential areas of non-compliance, and recommend corrective actions.
