Title: Finance Control Oversight Associate

Salary: $79,000-$120,000
A top tiered global financial group is looking for a full-time associate from the Financial Control Oversight team. This person will be responsible for assisting the team lead in managing and executing the internal control assessment over financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
-This role would require someone with relevant experience in performing internal control evaluations for various areas within globally systemic financial institutions.
-Understanding of financial products including derivatives and fixed-income transactions, in addition to control processes within accounting, treasury, and product control operations is preferred.
-In this role, the individual will have an opportunity to learn about organization’s business, risks and internal control environment and provide recommendations to enhance the business control environment.
-As a Controls Oversight Associate, you will work with a diverse team of highly motivated professionals and be a key player in the team’s oversight of the company’s finance internal control environment.
-Support testing of business-related finance control processes for internal controls assessments within the CFO organization (e.g., perform test of design and operating effectiveness during the year)
-Effectively monitor and communicate to Team Lead on all internal control matters and issues.
-Partner with process owners to identify root causes of issues and determine effective remediation plans.
-Work closely with other functional areas within subsidiaries to interpret (reporting/internal control regulations/audit standards), define, and provide technical process and control advice to constituents.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Accounting, Finance, or related field
-3-5+ years of experience with internal audit, public accounting, or internal control function, including knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, and appropriate domestic and international accounting and auditing processes, laws, rules, and regulations
-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications (i.e Excel and PowerPoint)
