Title: Senior Tax Associate

Office Status: Stamford CT-Hybrid 4x a week in office

Salary: Up to $150,000 base

A $30 billion Family Office/Asset Management Firm is building out their tax and finance department. They are looking for a senior tax associate who will sit in their Corporate Headquarters in Stamford Connecticut. This company has grown $6b in AUM over the past 2 years. The Senior Tax Associate will be responsible for covering a full scope review of compliance, tax structuring, tax modeling and research.

Responsibilities:
-Assist the Management Company Tax group with all aspects of the tax compliance process.
-Assist with tax due diligence and structuring, as required.
-Prepare and/or review tax workpapers, with a focus on designing and implementing an automated process.
-Provide tax expertise and research to address day-to-day issues effectively and quickly for management companies and related funds.
-Work with a team with a “roll up your sleeves and get the work done” mentality and bring a sense of urgency and attention to detail to requests and projects.
-Design and implement automated processes to aid in the preparation and review of tax workpapers, supporting schedules, and forms through the use of internal proprietary tax technology and through the build-out and/or integration of new systems.

Qualifications:
-4+ years of work experience in U.S. taxation
-Experience with operating partnerships, including but not limited to fixed asset depreciation, transfer pricing, IRC
174 capitalization
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
-CPA license or concrete roadmap to obtain licensure
-Expertise in reporting foreign (non-U.S.) activities, such as GILTI, Forms 8858, 8865, 5471, and 5472
