Title: Tax Manager

Office Status: On-site NYC or Stamford

Salary: $150,000-$180,000 + 15% bonus

A Private Investment Firm on a non-traditional tax team is looking for a Tax Manager. This team will mainly cover tax modeling, M&A, and help with one off projects for their portfolio companies. This is a highly impactful role where you will have the opportunity to engage with various entities across the organization which span several jurisdictions.

Details:
-Engage in hands-on work across various domestic and international tax projects including but not limited to: modeling impacts of tax initiatives and developments, legal structure planning, etc.
-Identify domestic and international tax issues, perform technical tax research as needed.
-Manage the overall tax compliance function for all investment entity returns and foreign filings.
-Ensure compliance with international tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements across various jurisdictions.
-Conduct research of federal, state, local and international tax matters – at times research may include VAT, sales and use, property tax matters.
-Stay abreast of local tax regulations and monitor changes in tax laws that may impact the organization.
-Support the resolution of tax notices and audits.
-Monitor and update transfer pricing policies and related documentation.

Qualifications:
-A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or a closely related field) is required. CPA certification or Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
-A minimum of 5-7 years of tax experience, in a public accounting firm with a focus on inbound multi-national companies or experience in financial services environment.
-Experience working with multi-national enterprises with cross border transactions.
-Knowledge of and exposure to transfer pricing.
