A leading financial services organization is seeking a Lead Load Balancing Engineer to help modernize and evolve its enterprise network infrastructure. This role sits within a core engineering team that owns the full network stack end-to-end, with a strong emphasis on load balancing strategy and execution.

You will play a key role in transforming a legacy F5 environment built over many years into a modern, scalable, and automated platform. This position blends hands-on engineering with architectural ownership and is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges.

What You’ll Tackle

  • Design, implement, and optimize enterprise load balancing solutions
  • Modernize legacy F5 configurations, including long-standing iRules frameworks
  • Own full lifecycle management of load balancing infrastructure (L1–L7)
  • Partner with application and infrastructure teams to improve performance and resiliency
  • Drive automation and efficiency across network operations
  • Troubleshoot complex network and application delivery issues
  • Support high-availability and fault-tolerant system design
  • Contribute to future-state architecture and infrastructure strategy

What You Bring

  • Deep expertise with F5 technologies (LTM, DNS/GTM, WAF, AFM)
  • Strong experience with iRules and legacy F5 environments
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and application-layer networking
  • Proven experience in load balancing architecture and engineering
  • Hands-on experience operating across L1–L7 networking layers
  • Background in regulated environments (financial services preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
