Base Salary: $150,000 – $175,000

Overview

A leading international financial institution is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join its New York-based Project Finance team. This high-visibility role focuses on approving and managing credit transactions in sectors such as utilities, power plants, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and large-scale infrastructure projects. You will work closely with relationship managers, legal teams, and senior credit committees, playing a key role in evaluating complex deals and ensuring adherence to rigorous credit and regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong underwriting expertise to contribute to high-impact transactions in a dynamic, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct joint due diligence, transaction structuring, and in-depth analysis of potential project finance deals.
  • Prepare credit assessments, including adjudication opinions, financial projections, and stress tests, for senior review prior to Credit Approval Committee (CAC) submission.
  • Present and defend credit cases to senior committees, including the CAC and Credit Management Committee (CMC).
  • Draft credit approval forms with clearly defined conditions precedent (CP) for transaction approval.
  • Verify that all CPs have been met before closing or funding.
  • Review and maintain accurate GCMS system entries.
  • Examine legal documentation to ensure alignment with credit terms, covenants, collateral, amortization schedules, and interest rate structures.
  • Post-disbursement, collaborate with Relationship Managers to complete interim and annual reviews on schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with post-disbursement audits, loan reviews, and regulatory requirements.
